Tinkergarten’s response to COVID-19

Over the past several months our team has worked tirelessly and with deep thought and care on how to safely bring in-person Tinkergarten classes back into our families’ lives. We learned from experts and designed a class experience to incorporate safety protocols while preserving the magic and wonder of Tinkergarten. And we have monitored the state, county, and city/town guidance continuously for each of the thousands of locations where we planned to hold classes.

The COVID-19 situation caused our Creativity season, originally slated for the Spring, to be moved several times. We thank our amazingly persistent—and persistently amazing—leaders and families who have stayed with us through all the scheduling shifts.

Unfortunately, rates of COVID cases, safety guidance, and our state and regional responses are currently fluctuating so significantly that it is impossible to identify a truly safe window in which to reopen. So, as a result, we will be unable to hold in-person classes for our Creativity 2020 season, and for the foreseeable future, until the broader situation is uniformly safer and more predictable.

The good news—We’re still bringing Tinkergarten to you!

Even if we can’t move forward with our in-person classes now, we’re ready to help you manage through this difficult time and keep your child(ren) playing and learning outside.

You can still experience Tinkergarten and our Creativity season right from home. After a successful summer pilot, we will be expanding our Tinkergarten Online Circle Time program starting in September. Our Classes page will start listing available classes in August.

Tinkergarten families are second to none! Again, we thank you for your passion and persistence, and we look forward to learning with you this season and for many more!
