Tinkergarten’s kids classes are age appropriate for 18 month - 8 year olds, and are run by parents and other community members. Classes take place in Echo Lake Park, and more!
Tinkergarten’s play-based learning curriculum of outdoor activities is the best way for kids to experience New Providence, New Jersey in the summer. Moms, dads and their kids can enroll in a class and join one of our existing playgroups, or improve their own playgroup by becoming a Tinkergarten leader. Tinkergarten is not a typical kids’ class—we share ideas with educational frameworks like Montessori, Waldorf and Reggio Emilia, but we’re much more. Our technology-enabled, expert designed curriculum adapts to region and season, is age appropriate, and spans a broad range of skills. Activities progressively build week after week, season after season.

Outside is healthier
Tinkergarten parents are not anti-tech. Our kids get ample screen time, too. Isn’t our greatest gift, then, to balance that time with healthy, rejuvenating, and developmentally stimulating time outdoors?
