About this class

Every Monday this Spring, families meet outdoors to connect and learn through play. In a 5-part class each week, Tinkergarten Leader, Roxanne Breton, will facilitate an expert-designed play scenario, allowing children of various ages and needs to explore, problem solve, communicate, collaborate, and create together. Parents and caregivers learn, too, as we’ll share insight into your child’s development. The program progresses to meet each child’s need season after season. This spring, the curriculum for 3-5 years will emphasize:

“ I learned how and when to step back and let my son be himself in certain situations. That was a lesson that I needed so much as a parent. The leader was able to communicate this in such a gentle and generalized way that I was able to step back and see myself. Not only was that a useful lesson, it was life changing. ”
— Mom to a 3-year-old
“ It’s a wonderful and rare class where both the parent and child have an opportunity for learning. ”
— Mom to a 5-year-old
“ We like the sense of flow - the class is very peaceful and not overly-structured. The teachers and the program meet the child where they are. It's amazing---every time we go to the park now, I find my child more creative because of Tinkergarten. ”
— Mom to a 4-year-old
