About this class

Every Monday this Fall, families meet outdoors to connect and learn through play. In a 5-part class each week, Tinkergarten Leader, Merritt Nemcek, will facilitate an expert-designed play scenario, allowing children of various ages and needs to explore, problem solve, communicate, collaborate, and create together. Parents and caregivers learn, too, as we’ll share insight into your child’s development. The program progresses to meet each child’s need season after season. This fall, the curriculum for 6-8 years will emphasize:

“ It's the first time he's ever asked how he can keep taking a class once it's over. ”
— Mom to a 6 year old
“ I learned how and when to step back and let my son be himself in certain situations. That was a lesson that I needed so much as a parent. The leader was able to communicate this in such a gentle and generalized way that I was able to step back and see myself. Not only was that a useful lesson, it was life changing. ”
— Mom to a 6-year-old
“ My youngest was more independent in this class than any other we’ve taken. ”
