This series of classes is designed to develop kids’ Problem Solving skills. Together, we’ll help kids see the world outside their door as their lab and come to know themselves as true scientists. As we explore different STEM topics through outdoor play, kids will learn both concepts and mindsets that can help them solve all kinds of problems.

Each week, features song and movement rituals plus a new Tinkergarten lesson. Kids leave class inspired to continue playing, and your weekly parent guide gives you three, 30-minute activities to do throughout the week to support your child’s learning.

Enjoy tracking your child’s progress as you color in your season map and share photos from play with your teacher! View all session dates.

For families with young kids, spending purposeful time outside is more important than ever. To thrive in this dynamic world, children need outdoor play experiences that deliver the hands-on lessons, valuable social interactions, and restorative activity that can’t be gained from the tap of a screen. As parents, it’s our job to ensure they engage in these experiences early and often. But how?

While finding ways to create enriching outdoor moments is essential, it isn’t always easy. Getting outside might be a simple first step, but for a lot of us, knowing what to do next—and how to make it count— just doesn’t come naturally.

We’ve been there. That’s why we started Tinkergarten.

Tinkergarten helps families get outside to make the most of their kids’ early learning years. Designed by education experts and loved by busy families throughout the United States, our play-based outdoor curriculum guides parents in raising healthy, confident, and capable kids. Tinkergarten makes purposeful outdoor play doable for every family—rain or shine.

Loved it! Simply contagious. Melissa kept the class moving, she modeled play, and gave me ideas as a parent on how to build imaginative play.
